Just wanted to post about my experience with OS X Yosemite. This is a repost after the loss, just so you guys can learn from my early adopting (and then not).
So I run an iMac with a 2.5ghz i5, and SSD and 20gb of RAM. Should be able to run JUST the OS smoothly, but that didn't happen. Everything was graphically jerky and sluggish. It also has some calculation bugs (specifically calculating RAM usage for some programs and disk space for others) that made annoying work of restoring my Time Machine backup. It took MUCH longer (and many more steps) to just restore the backup than it should have because of the disk space calculation error.
I personally will be sticking with Mavericks...probably until I have to get a new computer.
There ya go! |

2 8gb and 2 2gb. It is spec'd for 16, but it uses it just fine. |
