|
|
Hi there all,
I'm working on new business cards at the moment (because they're always useful to have, even if seldom used nowadays, and my old ones are horrid), and have had a (hopefully) great idea. I want to fill the back of the card with commonly used Voiceover motifs.
"In a world" is obviously a prime example. Also, "This is Mary, Mary's looking for [insert product that is available from a wide range of suppliers and is begging for a comparison site or easy to use alternative which also mows your lawn]". And "For sales, press 1" etc.
Anyone think of any others? |

Haha, yes! "I really, really like that. That was great. Absolutely dead on...but if you could just go one more time, EVEN more [insert nonsensical adverb]" |

Kind of a mixed bag of things you hear in a session and lines you are called upon to read:
"One more for safety."
"Conveniently located."
"NOW, how much would you pay?"
"Three easy payments."
"Easy to get to from everywhere."
"Has this ever happened to you?" _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

I think it's a bit too "in" and would only work if they were instantly memorable.
Instead, get printed, in a large font size,on the reverse.
"Left intentionally blank in case the recipient wishes to write something down and has no spare paper" |

To add a little spark to recording sessions for bank commercials, the first time I came to the disclaimer: "Equal housing lender, member FDIC", I'd pronounce the acronym fuh-DICK. Usually got a laugh.
