Who makes a nice quiet, one-piece chair suitable for long form narration? _________________ Genus |

If you find one, let me know. I am tired of RX4 ing to remove the squeaks. I am told that Architect chairs are durable and silent, but haven't been able to inspect one closely. I am about to start using a wooden stool until I get this problem fixed.
Maybe instead of RX4 ing I should be WD-40 ing. _________________ Just because you are PARANOID doesn't mean they AREN'T out to get you.

Been using one of those SADDLE type stools/chairs and it is very quiet.
It has no back support though, which might be good, or bad depending on you. The good thing is that I sit quite upright on it and it feels more like "a standing position" than when sitting in other types of chairs.
This one needs something soft over the top of it, but otherwise it works well.
Wanted to get one of those, "kneeling type" chairs, which is also backless, but they were quite expensive.
Hope this helps! _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

Kneeling chairs run a large gamut in prices from under $60.00 to over $1200. Most do not have back but some do and vary in price. Here is one kneeling chair on the lower scale of prices: Kneeling Chair

Not wanting to thread jack, but thanks Frank for the link.
I should have qualified my statement. Here in Finland the kneeling chairs are quite expensive. Looks like the are reasonably priced in the States _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

I ended up ordering a pair of fabric stacking church chairs for $40 ea. It's a one-piece that has a 3.5" cushion in to which my butt shall enjoy sinking. Silent, and apparently adds elegance and class to a booth which currently lacks both. _________________ Genus |
