When we last left the Grand Fishing Expedition of December 28, positioned as "an outro of a radio and TV commercial for {name} Casino on {Caribbean island}, not for the U.S., with a budget of between 100 and 200 dollars," I asked the fisherman where the commercials would be running and for how long. The response at that time was {crickets.}
I thought, at the time, that was because, using his one-line script, I had made him aware that I had identified the casino as being the property of a major hotel chain, who also have many similar locations around the globe.
But today, our fisherman returned, saying there is (suddenly) an urgent need to have this line recorded.
As for my question of where the spots will run? How many believe that this major hotel chain, with its many global resort locations, would choose to advertise this particular resort ONLY in this particular Caribbean island country with a total population of less than a quarter of a million people? _________________ Mike

Their willingness, or lack thereof, to pay your price (not theirs) will demonstrate how urgent their need really is. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Indeed. But, he's already stated his maximum budget is $200.
The reason I'm leery and hoping for feedback on this is because I'm already "once-burned" by an eerily similar situation several years ago. At that time, a studio and ad agency on another Caribbean island hired me to do a :30 radio spot for Bailey's Irish Cream, stating the spot was to run ONLY on that island. I believed them. That is, until I received email from a childhood friend I'd kept in touch with, who said her mother – who hasn't heard my voice in decades, and who still lives in northern NJ – heard me on a radio commercial for Bailey's Irish Cream. And she repeated the tagline VERBATIM. This would've been New York City radio. A far cry from airing only on that Caribbean island. All attempts at getting some answers failed, so I just moved on.
So, I have a hard time now, believing people in small island countries with embarrassing budgets, and I am tempted to just completely ignore them.
