Had to work today. Holiday pay=time and a half. That's the only nice part about it. Got home later than normal, played with dog for awhile and now, browsing VO-BB. Wish I had a beer. |

Not bad for a day's work. That sounds great.
Could you whip up a MIDI version of Mahler's Resurrection symphony for us to hear tomorrow? Thanks.
Me? I watched the Cubs while I assembled 50 demo packages for sending out during the week. So I guess I worked. |

As we used to say in radio, "Labor Day was the holiday that the management got off."
I have a big writing project due Tuesday morning so the long (extra long because of Tropical Storm Ernesto on Friday) weekend was spent writing. Or more accurately, typing.
Remember the Freelancer's Credo: Thank God it's Friday! Only three more working days until Monday! |

Here in Scotland they have local holidays and yesterday was a Buckie Holiday and it's good to see that over there some people are happy to take it too. Do you take the Tattie Holiday? |

We'll take any holiday we can get.
Buckie and Tattie are welcome any time.
...although they sound like a comedy duo or something. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Greg--You might try craigslist.com to look at listings (or post yourself) under 'pets' where some advertise their petsitting services.
S.O. was away over the weekend, so naturally I spent all day picking up and cleaning given it takes me very little time after his departure to make a big mess of things.
Walked the dog, rode my bike, and thinned the cosmos and alyssum in the front yard, too. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

I spent the day playing golf with my parents in central Indiana and thanking the stars I wasn't at the day gig. _________________ Pam Tierney

Buckie is the nearest town to me, it's about 3 miles away. The tattie holiday refers to a two week holiday in this area during October . Historically all local people would take a break from their regular jobs to go and help the nearby farmers gather their crops of potatoes (tatties). My wife and her sister used to do it as children, relying on the money to fund Christmas. Now the potatoes are harvested by machine but the holiday still exists. |

Thanks Deirdre - It' always good to learn that you actually entertained someone.

My influences early on were Dick & Bert, Stan Freeberg, and Chuck Blore. Although I make no attempt to sound like them, I think you can often hear some of their audio stylings creeping into my work. I think that's something we're missing today in most radio & TV - the "entertainment" factor. _________________ Travis
