Thought I would throw this tip out to everyone. I read about this someplace and would offer credit but I can't recall the link. =(

The key component is the Tekkeon MP1860A that allows usb power and pass through like a hub. It provides portable power to the Micport so you can use any microphone.

Unfortunately it was recently discontinued but is available all over discounted for ~$30. There nothing in their current product line that does the same thing. It takes a while to charge. 10 hrs. I have not yet used all the power. Plus it can power your phone or any usb chargeable device.

It works incredibly well, you get MicPort quality at high res and no fuss. I have tried my other LDC's and dynamics and all work well. It's a great portable solution without trailing a power cord.
