A friend sent me a clipping from the Wall Street Journal of last Thursday. "This guy has you beat on soundproofing" was the message stapled to the clipping from the paper.
Writer Reinald Laddaga needed a quiet place to write books, compose books. In New York City! I don't know that his acoustics would make a good voice-over space (I'm pretty sure "as is" it would not! ) but maybe nothing more than one of those little acoustics shields behind a mic would do the job.
[ Pictures here, but no access to the written article:

I Googled the guy. He is Argentinian, a writer who punctuates his books with sounds and music he creates and composes. A professor at the University of Pennsylvania. If you can find the article from last Thursday, you will know "he marches to the beat of a different drummer!" (For me to say that is The pot calling the kettle black!)
I sending a note to my friend: "Yeah, the guy has me beat.... but he spent a hell of a lot more money than I did!" |
