I've been doing some work for one of their Dutch client's inter-company campaigns. The first invoice was past due so when they requested me to continue recordings I explained that Intervoiceover was new to me and that I required timely and reliable payment before scheduling new work. Several days later payment still wasn't made though they acknowleged two of my invoices. They asked again as the client's deadline was at-hand and when I put my foot down again they said there was a 'problem' with PayPal and that they couldn't sort it out because of the bank holiday (which it was). So, they offered to make an online bank-to-bank international remittance. I was reluctant as I wouldn't be able to confirm it on this end as it was a bank holiday here too. But they offered to show me a screenshot of the transaction on their end. I sent them my bank details and a little while later they said they made the transfer and sent me what was looked to be a bank remittance confirmation (all in Dutch). Sigh. I decided to trust it was in order and did the recording. Will find out if it went through later this week. Hope so!

Oh dear! Up to their old tricks again. Been sucked in by these people too many times. So plausible, so deceitful. _________________ Colin Day - UK Voiceover

New customer = payment up front or at least before getting the audio file.

The good news is that their international bank transfer was legit and went through as promised. And they paid me very prompty after the next recording via PayPal. So, my faith has been restored for now. _________________ www.chriskoprowski.com/en |
