|
|
A client has given me copy containing a couple of terms – one in Italian and one in German – that refer to songs that get stuck in our heads. He recorded himself speaking these terms, but the recording wasn't that clear, so I attempted to check other sources. When what I'd heard submitted by two people on Forvo.com to be different than what my client provided, I thought I should ask here.
So, if there are any speakers of German and Italian here, may I ask you to please record yourself speaking the term and emailing your recording to me?
The German word is Ohrwurm. The Italian term is canzone tormentone (I can only assume his spelling is correct).
I don't want to help my client embarrass himself. I hope you can help me. Many thanks! _________________ Mike

Hello
Whilst not a native speaker of either language, I have studied, and am conversational in, both.
Check out the pronunciation here.
I hope that's helpful! |

BRILLIANT!
You gave what I imagined the pronunciations would be upon initially seeing the text. But hearing my client's recording and those on Forvo.com gave me cause for concern.
Thank you, Will! You rock! _________________ Mike

No probs!
It is a fact universally acknowledged that pronunciation reference files from clients must be been recorded inside of a busy traffic-tunnel using a tin can on a string. |
