Not a good time for Jazz and Bess to swim.

Considering that many orcas have learned how to lunge up onto the beach to catch their prey, even keeping the pups several feet back from the water sounds like good idea.

David Attenborough shows them in action:

Beautiful and amazing creatures.

I've had Blackfish in my Netflix list for months. The director was a graduate of my alma mater (Occidental College), and she just received some sort of award at the reunion I attended this past weekend. That reminded me of the film, so I watched it a couple of nights ago. I hope it's one more nail in the coffin of humans using lesser (?) animals for entertainment.

Wow. Even the 7-minute version of that movie is way too long. Ninja
