Just a friendly tip... right now, Guitar Center online has several used CAD E100 - the old-school black and gold model. Right now they have two for $119 (used to be three ), one for $129 and one for $149. Going rate on ebay for these right now is more like $180-200, and you can return it to your local Guitar Center if it's wonky.
Great chance for a newbie on a tight budget like me to step up from MXL to a "real" mic! |

The current model, the one people here seem to be happy and proud to own is the E100S. What is the difference between the E100 and the E100S? |

I can't say that I've heard back-to-back samples of the two, but this post on gearslutz describes the sound as slightly warmer. https://www.gearslutz.com/board/low-end-theory/667120-original-cad-e100-vs-e100s.html
It also requires both P48 and an internal battery, which is topped off by P48. _________________ John Roorda
