Broadcast yesterday evening this is a superb piece and worth an hour of your time.
What do I do on social media? What do I think I'm doing? Am I fooling myself? Answer to the last question a resounding yes! For the record, I inflicted myself on you and for that I apologise. Don't be polite, be honest, if you listen to the broadcast and "get it" your heartfelt apology will follow shortly.
Is it ok for me or you to blame an internet? No, it's a benign piece of software, a few cables, some wireless thingies, a machine that goes ping and a huge, you know, huge thing. It did nothing.
Please listen. I did and it changed my life. I'll never post anything on an internet again ...That was lie wasn't it? Sorry.
Now, where's that pic of me doing something interesting with pastry? I'll post it later, it's awesome #voiceover |

Excellent piece.
It's not a technique for life... it's a technique for image.
But, as Marshall McLuhan would have us believe, the medium is the message. The saturation bombing of social media is here to stay (for a while at least), and the only real question is whether or not you consider it important or relevant. Many people are becoming defined by their own social media presence, and that is a very sad thing. I can't mention McLuhan without the mandatary pairing with Warhol... everybody gets their fifteen minutes of fame... the problem is, some of those fifteen minute chunks are becoming interminably long.
Consulting a social media "guru" will make sure that Philip's picture of "something interesting with pastry" will get broad (yet targeted) exposure to his (and his extended) demographic. With proper attention this could go viral and become the latest meme. If we move fast, we can get a deal with Pillsbury and have it out there as a pre-roll on YouTube within thirty-six hours. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

The craving of attention?
Here's what I'm doing 17 seconds after my last earth-shattering post?
I don't get it.
So... what else is new? _________________ Mike
