Super quick question for all you promo pros...

How does one read the following:

"Tune in Sat at 11p est/pst for an all new episode."

I'm thinking I should say "Saturday at 11 PM eastern-pacific" but I'm not sure.

Thank you!

I would not fault you for saying "Eastern and Pacific". I would consult the producer for his/her version.

You're thinking correctly but if they want it another way they'll tell you. This is not a test paper, it's just an audition. No Fs in Audition.

+1 to Philip

I'd opt for Eastern and Pacific

I might read that as "11 PM Eastern and 11 Pacific" but would tell the client, "if that isn't the way you want it, let me know and I'll fix it."

But wouldn't it be nice if people would write scripts exactly -- in words -- as they want them? No abbreviations, no symbols, no shortcuts. Ah, we can dream.

Another vote for what Philip said. However, just as a FYI, I *believe* I'd heard that broadcast times are usually read (using the typical eastern and central time zones as an example): "Ten, nine central." So it's *possible* that this could be read: "Eleven PM eastern pacific." It's TV, so there'll undoubtedly be a graphic supporting this information on the screen.

I didn't even know it was you until the end because the whole thing was so well made and mixed.
