Received a request for a rate for 3 TV Coors Light playing Nationally in Mexico. I don't have a clue.

Your minimum session fee +500% use. In my case that would come out at $1800. This assumes that all 3 can be recorded within a one hour session.
No hat allowance. |

$1800 sounds fair...it's Mexico...but it's Coors! If it was Schlitz, I'd quote $900. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

Just make sure you're talking the same denomination. Right now, the peso is worth 5.5 cents. You don't want to tell them "1800" and get a check for $99 marked paid in full. _________________ My full name is Karl Kuhlken (think Macauly Culkin...it rhymes)

I have done a lot of work for this production house in the past, but all corporate, none broadcast, so I was lost in that arena.
Aside from this post, my friend and fellow VO-BB member Kristin Lennox, put me in touch with a talent that does a lot of work in Mexico. His figures were parallel to Philip’s, so that’s what I quoted. This was their reply.
Thanks Rick for the budget, I will expect customer response, and knowing something I notice you.
Now I will do something I’m well acquainted with… wait for an answer.
Thank you for your help. _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics

Just curious..this is one spot, not three, is that right...the initial post said 3 TV, but based on subject line, this meant :30..Yes? |

Three TV 30's.
What I found out in my research from Latin America talent is that Mexico Regional rates are comparable to USA Local. And National proportionately as well.
If you think about it, Mexico has a third of the population of the US with an economy disproportionately smaller than that. I have no clue how many have TV's, but I'm guessing not everyone does, where in the US, even those below the poverty level have at least one or two. So rates are considerably lower. I did a couple Miller Lite spots here in the US with Danny Trejo as the primary and I'd get payments long after I thought the run was over. I'm guessing even though I didn't quote perpetuity, it might just be a given.
As Glenn Frey sang, 'It's better in the USA'. _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics
