An old friend and one of the very few people I idolized. Did a rare full length interview with him during my Nationally Syndicated radio time. And before that during my time at WSM and the Grand Ole Opry. Stayed in touch over a lot of backstage years and my friendship with his (and Buck Owens) ex wife Bonnie. We will never see his like again. A sad day in a sad year of so many greats passing on. I feel intimations of my mortality greatly today. _________________ There are rules to the Universe.
