... from the director of the miss illinois pageant (america - not USA - because, apparently they are different things), asking me to emcee this year's event. i think that's pretty cool, so i said "yes".
let the steve harvey references begin. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

I emceed two years in a row for Miss Arizona and then when it moved to live TV they moved me to the VOG mic (insert face made for radio joke).
I will say standing in the wings and backstage with a lot of very nervous, energetic, and emotional young women for 3 hours is an interesting experience.

Just don't wear any fur, and you won't have to worry about hearing from Bob Barker.
But, yes... congratulations, Todd! _________________ Mike

Todd, that's great, but now I'm going to picture you and the above scenario. I'd pay to watch this. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

What a delightful way to get out of the office. My only knowledge of Beauty Pageants is Miss Congeniality or any SAG-AFTRA VO mixer in LA.
When you're introduced to the contestants you will not need to use memory tricks to learn their names.
"Todd, this is Taylor and this is Taylor. Taylor you met in the parking lot. Of course this is Taylor and then there's Taylor over there getting water, you can say hi in a minute. Oh and HERE'S Taylor, late as usual!. These two are like sisters and they only met yesterday. Taylor and Taylor say hi to Tom"
"Todd!"

Good for you, buddy. A budding Bert Parks. Maybe you're not old enough to
remember who that was. Anyhoo, have a marvelous time. _________________ Roger Tremaine
