...we're heading to the beach for a week, and though I will take a travel rig and hope not to even crack it open, I'm researching possible studios, should the need for a directed session arise.
We will be about 45 minutes from Wilmington, NC, which seems to have the nearest actual studio. I've found a handful, but it would of course be better to use one that is actually recommended by someone...
So... does anyone have a studio in Wilmington, NC that he/she would recommend?

Scott -- I'm being prepared. Just like a boy scout...
Believe me, I won't travel 45 minutes to a studio unless it's a substantial payday. _________________ Always look on the bright side of life.

Kristin,
Not that far up the road from Wilmington is the recording studio owned and operated by our own Rowell Gormon. I've recorded there more than once when I needed the space. Get in touch with him if you need a professional space. He'll get you fixed up. _________________ Be well,

Thanks, Bob, and though I would ADORE seeing Rowell again... it's unfortunately a 2 hour and 45 minute drive to his place from the beach. I wouldn't make that drive if Disney called me...
...ok, yeah, I'd drive it if Disney called. But NOBODY ELSE.
...ok, maybe Dreamworks. But THAT'S IT.

Kristin,
I'm sorry. I honestly thought it was closer than that. _________________ Be well,

Oh, it probably is, to most beaches. We're going to Holden Beach, which is a little off the beaten path... _________________ Always look on the bright side of life.

I'm kinda torn on this subject, It's supposed to be a vacation, but I guess many of us (myself included) have been conditioned into the "when they say jump, you jump" mentality...especially if it's big client |

This is why I like to take vacations in places where work is impossible...sometimes even where cell signal and internet are non existent.
Otherwise I'm 'on call', road rig at the ready, which irritates my significant other sometimes. |
