I've noticed a hum/buzz in my gear.
I sent this audio to izotope because I thought it was the Nectar plugin I use but they said the buzz is there on both audio examples and to check the mic and mic cable.
1st read is WITHOUT Nectar plugin, 2nd read is dry (except for dbx 166xl comp/gate)
Here's my audio chain...
mic (Blue Mouse)
dbx 166xl
personus Audiobox 2
(Samson audio control for monitoring is fed by Audiobox 2)
FYI, I unplugged the mic and the hum is still there.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Good old process of elimination...

One thing that I did right off the bat when I was struggling with hum issues is remove my entire recording rig & setup to another room.

No hum. Okay...

Then I systematically started plugging things in.

Eventually I just discovered it had nothing to do with the room, but a faulty ground connection or something with the microphone itself -- but it taught me a valuable lesson:

Hum can come from a number of sources, so eliminating variables in a methodical, systematic way is really the only way to track it down and stay sane.

Try pulling the power supply for that out of the wall and see if your hum/buzz is still there....
