I recently completed Pat Fraleys TV, Film, & eLearning coursework as part of my continuing dedication to the craft of voice acting . I highly recommend his coaching to all that are involved in the craft.
Thanks to our own DB Cooper and Bob Souer for their contributions to the coursework.
There's an invaluable wealth of 411 and experience in Pats courses. |

Thanks for the kind comment, Eddie. And I completely agree on the value of Pat's courses both in person and virtually. _________________ Be well,

Your'e welcome Bob. I have to say he has a big bang for your buck with the volume and quality of info given out on his website that is free as well as the paid coaching.
Here is my cut of a Judy Garland Doc that Pat mixed with my narration from the coursework. www.tvradiovoice.com/audiofiles/JudyGarlandDoc_EddieEagle.mp3 |

Hi Phillip
This will help out a bit.
For me one consistent thread in my study was my tempo was a bit quick.
I was able to smooth that out to the right pace with his direction and tips to get more info from the director on what is happening on screen as well as the music choices made by the director.
I've had a number of projects that request faster pace and I fell into a pattern of quick delivery. So his direction helped me get back into the groove.
His pricing is quite reasonable too. A 5 session 1 round of feedback learn at your own pace ( although he suggests 1 lesson a week) for $200.
The follow up is 2 rounds of feedback per lesson at the same rate. It goes into more depth. He doesn't sugar coat either. He'll tell you straight out if you are off base or on target.
I'm also always impressed by the volume of quality free content he provides on his site focused on training and developing your craft. |

Another tidbit was learning his terms for certain techniques that I used but never really thought about a name for the technique. IE Up Up and Away, etc. |

Been looking at giving Pat a holler. Learning is like swimming...if you stop, you'll eventually sink... _________________ "The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve." - Buddha

Another vote for Pat. He's given me some valuable guidance, & help above & beyond. Plus he doesn' t mince words when I'm way off track!
Bust those bad VO habits.
His guidance sticks in my head when I'm doing self directed work now. Very helpful...believe me. 👏😉 _________________ Intuit and do it!
