A simple help for room noise is to use a hi pass filter. Set it at 80 or 100hz.
If you have one on your mic I would use that first and then if you have it on your pre I would use it next. Less is better and cleaner.

What I've done is gradually increase the HPF bit by bit starting at 60hz. Once I notice it altering the sound of my voice, I back it off it bit and leave it. That way I'm cutting out things that aren't my voice and not my voice. For me, I've found 70-80hz is just about right!
