Do many people use tube mics for VO?

The real question:

Tube vs ribbon for VO... Ninja

That's kind of what I was wondering soon after posting. I seem to recall George and Dan (during the audio masters roundtable) mentioning that tube mics aren't the greatest for VO.
Any input on WHY would be great!

A few things about tube mics that probably relate to what George & Dan have said:

-Tubes need to warm up, so you either leave your mic powered on all the time or you have to wait to start recording

-Tube circuits generally have higher noise levels than solid state circuits.

-Tubes age, which may cause the sound of your mic to change slightly over time, and they eventually burn out.

-Tubes generate heat. It's not a lot of heat, but you are generally recording in a tiny enclosed space, so it might become noticeable.
