Recently I've discovered that almost as soon as one project is finished, I am craving for the next one. It's not about the money.

Nothing is normal. I just finished a two-hour ISDN session for a medical narration. It was not one of life's more pleasant experiences. I lost count of the number of times I had to retake, "... including meningoencephalitis, myasthenia syndrome/myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, pancreatitis and retroperitoneal hemorrhage." I do not want another one of those soon.
... and to cross-reference another current thread, I wasn't acting and I did it for the money (which wasn't bad!) _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

HI TODD! HI NEIL!!
Thanks for letting me know I am not alone
Perhaps I should have asked the question, "Am I the only one?", rather than, "Is this normal"?
Everything about this business feels like it came from the brain that Marty Feldman choose from the brain depository in Young Frankenstein.

Bish, don't get me wrong, I love the money in this business !
I am gobsmacked by the fact that 2 back-to-back sessions (2 hours in the studio) can pay me as much or more than a 40 hour week teaching English conversation classes!
It is just that there something more in this than just the money. It's like an itch that gets scratched, moments of satisfaction, but then it returns.
I've also had those sessions that feel like verbal water-boarding, but give me a 3 - 4 minute corporate narration and you've made my day _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland
