My dbx Compressor/Noise Gate (166XL) is now doing a white noise sound and having dealt with dBx products in the past: they're good sounding products...while they last.
So I'd like to move on to another noise gate.
Any recommendations?
I'd just use the gate in my DAW (Reaper) but I already have a couple fx going so I don't want to add to my processor's workload any more than I have to.
An outboard noise gate is necessary in my recording space so some suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks _________________ www.moosevoice.com |

Look for a Drawmer DS201
It's a very good dual channel gate so you always have a back up if a channel goes on the fritz....plus they are inexpensive, especially if you shop the used market. The DS201 works very well for VO work. |
