Hello everyone just wanted to introduce myself....
my name is John Roberts (Johnny works too)
I am just starting out with Voice Acting and wanting to understand the inside aspects of VO so I figure being part of a forum like this would be beneficial.
I live in San Diego and just looking to start out doing some Workshops and Classes to gain as much knowledge wherever I can.
Do not have any Websites or referrals yet but very happy to be part of something like this.
Thanks and nice meeting you all! Johnny |

Welcome to the board Johnny. Glad to see more San Diego reps jumping in. This "is" a great place to share wisdom, vent frustrations, and enjoy a common passion. Be sure to dig through the archives for lots of hidden "information" treasures. _________________ "Bailey"

Hi Johnny, I'd suggest you take my voice acting class at City College in the fall, but it has been cancelled and I am "retiring" from teaching that class (after 18 years!). I have been developing a short list of other experienced voice talent with teaching experience who can take over the class in the Spring.
It is a 16-week class (5 hours a week, plus listening and recording homework) for 3 units - less than $150 total. Can't beat that with a stick! I hope it will continue to be helpful when the new teacher (whoever that might be) takes over.
In the meantime, I am going to be doing some workouts at a local studio, so you might want to "like" my Facebook page and keep your eye out for them.
