Heya gang,

I rented 4 different mics, plus the one I own, and 2 dif configs on the MKH50

Which one do you like best??

I think I'm partial to the sound of the first one, which blows because it's a $2200 microphone

I wanted the 416 for the longest time, but running through my preamp with my setup as it is, it kinda sounds, 'overblown' in a way...

I like the MKH50 and I think it would be user friendly and do a lot of the noise reduction heavy lifting, but my sibilants seem to be coming in a little bit hot

The other two sound... not that good to me; I like the shotgun pickup pattern especially with my space

Thoughts?

PS That Schoep is amazing and sexy, and somebody sell one cheap please!
