Getting to shake June's hand at VOICE 2010 was the second best thing about being at that event. (Spending time with many of my best friends was first best.) _________________ Be well,

I went to an American Film Institute event some 30 years ago that saluted Walter and Gracie Lantz, the creators of the Woody Woodpecker cartoons. Even though they had sped up the tape a bit in those days to create the sound, you could tell she was the voice of Woody when I chatted with her.
Another part of the event was an hour with June Foray and Daws Butler on stage, he being the voice of dozens of the cartoon characters I had grown up with (Huckleberry Hound, Elroy Jetson, Barney Rubble, etc.). I was in a small seat theater, sitting just a few rows from the stage, and the joy of being in the room with these voices I had grown up with LIVE was pure heaven.
