Just announced, a new mobile recording interface for iPhone and iPad.
Spire Studio, a 24bit, 48khz interface with built-in mic, headphone jack, 2 XLR inputs, and phantom power for your favorite road mic.
Grace pre's for clean sound.
802.11 b/g/n wifi connection to your iPhone, iPad or other iOS device.
Rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides 4 hours of use per charge.
Internal storage for 4-6 hours of project space.
Companion Spire a allows you to mix, edit, edit, and master up to 8 individual tracks.
Export files in AAC or Wav formats.
Built in iZotope effects for those who can't leave well enough alone. 
Available 9/27, pre-order open now at Sweetwater, B&H, etc.

(They're showing it off in a mobile van at various music festivals around the US. One of the stops is this weekend's Hopscotch Music Festival, where I hope to get a closer look and maybe a hands-on with the unit.)

Gotta hand it to Izotope and Grace for thinking outside the box on this little box. I think it'll blow all the micports, irigs, and mixerfaces (which still hasn't arrived yet!) out of the water!

Just got the email on this one today. I'm hoping they're gonna do some local events - that looks like a really sexy option for travelling, and making recording podcasts a little easier.

No matter who the manufacturer is to me 'built in mic' = not as good.
I'm open to being persuaded though.
EDIT: It's got 2 XLRs!

Yeah, it's easy to miss that, Moose. I already knew it had the xlr inputs before I saw it, and I was like "Where the hell did they put/fit them?"
