Can anyone recommend a good, quiet space heater?

Moose, I'm no specific help, but any electric radiator would definitely be dead silent, apart from possible interference from the cables. I remember using one when in California. Worked very well for a 12x9 bedroom with about 8ft ceiling.

Oil filled space heaters don't have fans so they make almost no noise. They can be slow to warm up but once they do they make a room quite toasty.

Oil heaters. *forehead slap* why didn't I think of that? Probably find one with a manual switch and put a wifi outlet on it so I can turn it on ahead of time.
Thanks guys

electric oil radiators are marvelous... just remember that you GOTTA give it a 1/2hour or so to get the oil going... when first switched on (especially when really cold) the oil tends to gurgle a bit for a while...
