Russ,

And all this time I thought it came in a clay jug. Smile

Russ,

Anybody ever try to pay you with what's in those mason jars? mmm yummy.

This thread has gotten so far off track it's comical.

Brian,

Yes, and Greg (our resident thread-jacking genius) hasn't even taken part yet. Smile And to at least make a half-hearted attempt to get back on track, I'll bet if you dropped your stopwatch in one of those mason jars it would get real silent too.

I have an mp3 player made by SanDisk (2gig) and it has a stopwatch on-board....no sound at all. And it has an FM tuner and room for 500 songs to boot.

Ben,

Actually, I almost always use the sweep second hand on my watch as my "stopwatch" in the studio. Completely silent and reasonably accurate. No mason jars required!

Brian-to bring the thread back on track, I just purchased the exact same stopwatch and will be clipping the red wire when I get home. Thanks! Now if I could just figure out how to do screen shots and the photo thing like you guys do. Hmmmmm........

Screen captures are easy. On windows you press ALT and the Print Screen button - mine's above the number pad. Then open your favorite image editor (Paint, Photoshop, etc) select FILE from the drop down menu and the COPY. Edit and save.

To put a photo in thread, upload it to your website or photobucket.com or whatever site you choose to use. Then you use the [img] and [/img] tags. For example, this would make the stopwatch photo show up:

One tip on the stopwatch. A regular screwdriver doesn't fit, you'll need a small one. I have several that I've bought for computers and stuff but if you have a sewing machine it probably came with one that will work.

I wasn't joking this time. The mp3 player has a stopwatch feature which is really nice to have. So if you are looking for an mp3 player, which also acts as a 2 gig flash drive, and you need a silennt stop watch also, it is the SanDisk m250 model.

Go get 'em.

Yow, it works!!! I've always wondered how to do that too.

On a Mac, you press SHIFT-COMMAND-3 to get a shot of your whole screen, or you press SHIFT-COMMAND-4 to get a crosshair cursor, which you can position anywhere, then click and drag over the area you want to capture.

To post a photo, you have to have it hosted online somewhere, then post a link to it like Brian describes. It's the same for Mac and PC once you're online.
I can host pertinent photos here, if you need the web space.
