I am creating the above named Voiceover Elite. Anyone who meets one of these people and sees them sporting the "Badge of Accreditation" will bend the knee and kiss their ring.

The criteria/qualifications for membership? I need suggestions.

Here's what I tried to do. Come up with a list and either/or (we like options) with the express purpose of excluding me.

Ok. Over to you, roll the dice!

Of course ALL female, brunette 40 something females who have done more than 10 audiobooks are excluded because they are Witches. No evidence to support this but it is a factual fact!

In order to see fair play in the accreditation process we will appoint.
Official Accreditation Voiceoverists = OAVs
As Official Adjudicating Voiceoverist = OAV I will have the final say.
An Ordinary Acceptance Veto = OAV will be used to exclude or include at the whim of any of the OAVs, OAVs or the OAV.

OAV is and will remain solely - Applicant is a member of WOVO. Does that exclude or include? It depends on whether we care to have you as one of our number or not.

Honourable members will number 200.

Having a pet is a must...please ensure this criteria is met above all.
Oh, and must show copious amounts of said pet in videos and/or pictures.

Been working on the basics.

At least 2 Onscreen TV/Movie acting roles with lines
Oscar nominated film voice or onscreen acting credit
2 International TV broadcast commercials. TX at least 3 countries
Major market agency representation – LA, New York, London, Budleigh Salterton.
Or
Any one of the above + either 20 years paid Voice Over(minimum living wage after expenses but before taxes) or proven $1million income.

Value of the accreditation? Really nice badge (pin) but other than that, none that I can see.

Yipee! I qualify on three out of six criteria. I've had speaking roles in a handful of TV shows and movies, I've made a living at VO for more than 20 years, and I am represented by Budleigh Salterton's premiere take away restaurant and voice talent agency Fish, Chips, and VO Chaps and Chicks. They're still working on the name.

I'm looking forward to my official accreditation and then my badge. Do you have a logo I can embellish the bottom of my website with?

The accredited are to be the voiceover elite! Think SAS or Navy Seals.

We can't have people going around being members of the Slightly Special Forces.

THAT'S JUST DAFT!

"Soldier, could you kill a man with your bare hands?"

"Sir, eventually, Sir!"

Oh but I have killed a man with my bare hands!

So I qualify!

Fair play.

To be a member of the SAS you have to move to Hereford. To be a Navy Seal you need to be able to balance a beach ball on your nose and play Yankee Doodle Dandy on on the car horns.

I've got a Bacon number of three.
Does that help?

No, but Kippers will probably secure your place.

When we're up and running we will bring down the might of VO-Cannuck (not their real name) using a robustly choreographed ballet performed by OAVs which accurately portrays our damaged businesses. Music courtesy of the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band

My Bacon number is two but I have no kippers. Black pudding is welcome however, so if we combine a liking for black pudding with lines in movies, representation including BS and (option B) having walked border collies, would being a border collie loving cat person mean instant disqualification or instant qualification? And as I dye my hair darker - more brunetty - than natural, under which criteria would which witch witch away which disqualifier?

Ahhh - decisions! Does one risk submitting one's application? One would wish to be an OAV, but being downgraded to an OAV or - horrors! - an OAV! would be a Sadly Appropriate Slap. An SAS indeed.
