Busy talent agent Erik Sheppard has a new video out explaining how much various talent agents charge their talents AND the producers. I'm pretty sharp with math but this one had my head buzzing a bit.

As the one who loudly cried "WTAF!" on Facebook when an agent announced a 25% rate, I will say that Erik actually did a pretty good job of explaining the different models. We'll never make it "simple" because it, well... simply isn't simple. It's like going to the barber (not that I've done that in years, but...)... It's not just, "Take 15% off the top", it's more like, "Take a little off the top and shave the sides... but leave the back long... and I want a center parting. Don't touch the bangs."
