I was just sitting here logging payments for two orders I received today. One is for a returning client, and another is a first timer. While I'm not earning enough to go buy a new truck or anything, I'm very happy with the growth I'm beginning to see.
I believe I owe a large part of my small success to this board and its members. The advice, the fellowship, the reality checks, the knowledge, and every other little thing we share here is more valuable than I sometimes realize.
So to each and every one of you I say thanks for your help and support. If you've ever near Raleigh give a shout. I owe you a beer or an ice cream or something (no... no haggis).

What was that invoice address again?
Feel the same way about this here fine online community where the majority speaks his or her mind. I hope the silent members speak up as well!

I had a similar thought today. I got a check in the mail from a client who is now giving me somewhat regular work. Not so many months ago, I could barely visualize getting work, not to mention getting repeat work. And I know that part of what got me from there to here is what I get out of this great community/resource every day.
Thanks, everybody. |

Interesting how real community works.
It takes on a life of its own.
Thank you all. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

DB, et al:
So many times we forget who our friends are, and we tend to shy away from family. Deirdre has provided us with a sense of community and family. She deserves so much more than the accolades we can offer here.
In case I have not mentioned it before - Thank YOU D.B.!
This evening I had the pleasure of referring one member of this board to another for VO work; and had the opportunity to help another member of the VO-BB with a project that will really set the career path in VO for this person. In addition I had the chance to congratulate yet another VO-BB member on some great opportunities received TODAY for that member.
I said it a couple of times this evening: "This is what friends are for...".
Thanks again my friends.
Toodles

Mary,
I hope if we're able to pull off this get-together in March that we will in fact, as many as can make it, all take part in a literal group hug while we're there.
As another example of a real, tangible benefit coming from our little family here (and yes, Frank, we all owe an unpayably large debt to Deirdre for hosting us); I had submitted my old demo dozens of times for auditions over the last 3 years and had received exactly zero paying jobs as a direct result.
But, since you all (and especially the "hands on assistance" of Frank) went over that demo a couple of months ago, I've booked several jobs from that revised demo. Real, tangible and the checks cashed! _________________ Be well,
