A long time friend to many of us, Sam A. Mowry is in hospital after a stent procedure on his heart last night. He had a major occlusion in one of his arteries and they've got it opened up again. He'll be heading home in a couple of days they say to recuperate further. Your thoughts for Sam and his wife Cindy are welcome.

Sam went home yesterday. Yep, modern surgery is a bit of a miracle.

Thanks everybody. Doc said I dodged a bullet with this one. My wife Cindy and all my local friends have really pitched in and are making my recovery much smoother. Can't thank them, and you enough. Hopefully after I see the cardiologist I'll have a better idea of the plan to beat this. I'm sure some more of Emma's (Bruce's lovely and talented wife) amazing healthful soup will put it in its place.

I had no idea how much sodium is in our food. We're making a lot of stuff from scratch now. Healthy, but time consuming.

Take care of yourselves, listen to your body and count every friend as a blessing. I do.
