I can personally vouch for the Tri-Booth. It works as advertised, and really does take about 10 minutes to set up and take down. With practice I'm sure I'll become more adept. I think a key virtue to the booth is it comes with a sonic setup session with George, who I trust with my main studio tuning as well.
The reason I decided to get one is not that I travel a lot--I decidedly don't--but I need the security of a reliable recording environment when I do. I've never loved the scramble to assemble pillows, blankets, and ironing boards at a hotel, along with the need to "retune" for each new setup. And because most of the work I do is of the "we need this within 30 minutes" variety, relying on area studios is not usually an option.
I should mention that I am not compensated for my thoughts, although I'd like to open up that door for George right now (ha ha). _________________ Jack Daniel
