I am doing an informal speech to some business people on Thursday evening and need this https://soundcloud.com/philip-banks/pardon as part of the intro. Lovely. I have signally failed to find a way of downloading this and saving to my PC. Any ideas? |

Hi Philip - try this:
1) Go to this track in your Soundcloud profile and click the "Edit" button.
2) Click the "Permissions" tab (upper right hand corner).
3) Select "Enable Direct Downloads", then click on "Save Changes".
You should be able to download the file onto your computer now - hope this helps! _________________ "What was that? An exhibition? We need emotional content." - Bruce Lee, Enter The Dragon |

Perfect! I thought I may have had to change direction and the idea of the speech is to make people laugh so needed a solid setup.
Many thanks Bruce and Todd. |

fwiw - i think it's goofy that you have to have permission to download your own file while logged in to your own profile ... _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

For context, before I play the clip my speech opens with the following.
"In cross boundary territories and during multi national trade deals at both corporate and governmental levels billions are lost due to an inappropriately delivered phrase or whilst outlining complex financial offerings. The skillset required to deconstruct multi-faceted concepts are ill understood amongst board, senior and middle management teams and so there is a need to opt in a proficient communicator who, with a nuanced delivery and supreme articulacy is equipped, whilst remaining unfazed by a myriad of distractions, to compel an audience to become receptive to even the most complex of subjects. When clarity and reputations are at stake the so-called smart money calls upon “The Disembodied Voice”, the consummate professional communicator, a highly trained “Voice Over Artiste” |

Just listened to Philip's track...and couldn't. stop. laughing.
This'll be in my brain all day now - and I've got a "serious-type meeting" to attend in 1.5 hours. Don't know how I'm gonna keep a straight face... _________________ "What was that? An exhibition? We need emotional content." - Bruce Lee, Enter The Dragon |

Your audience should just alone be impressed, as I was, at your use of the word “articulacy” in the middle of all that.
