Client requests a rate for a single script of 2 - 2.5 minutes in length. Client also requests a rate for SIX scripts of approximately the same length (perhaps it's a series of videos on the same topic).
What is common practice today: charging for each script, separately; or charging a "package" rate if all scripts can be recorded during the same session? Is there anything I'm not considering?
Thanks. _________________ Mike

Never try to guess, the client is expecting you to guess the budget.
Here's how it works. All scripts could reasonably be recorded in one session. Minimum session fee of typically $350 for an hour. You supply audio for use nowhere. Where is the audio to be used? On his website? Joe's Chippy pays another 100% of the session fee for use. total fee $700. High value client/business, high traffic site, videos intended to generate revenue? Session fee plus 100% use for two years per video = $ 2,450.
What you are not considering?
1 - How much you would like to charge
2- How much the client is prepared to pay
3- Asking for $700 |
