Looking for a used "soundproof" booth in the NYC area that is 3.5-4' Wide x 5-6' L. (4 x4 seems too tight for me).

NYC, you're unlikely to get much action here--this forum is mostly for talking about equipment, not selling it. I would invest my time on the abundant exchanges on Facebook, craigslist, and the like. The VO Gear Exchange group on Facebook has a lot of booths for sale around the country.
And about that 4x4 config--I would avoid any booth configuration that is square. Such booths bring along major sonic issues (standing waves). You can treat them but it will take a LOT of the real estate within that space that will involve unsquaring the booth with panels and bass traps.
