Because it's not VO-related, I'm asking here.
I know a senior couple (in their 80s) who I'd really like to be able to take advantage of grocery home delivery. But grocery stores don't offer order-by-phone in this area, this couple doesn't own a computer to do online ordering and, so, I imagine they are not computer-savvy at all.
Do you have any suggestions as to what I might recommend to them? The simpler, the better, obviously.
Thanks. _________________ Mike

I'd ask them once a month to send me a complete list of their needs and order it online
for them. |

todd beat me to it. i was also going to recommend a chromebook. lightweight in terms of resource needs, can get through basic browsing pretty easily, relatively easy to use. |

Many counties offer a wide variety of services for seniors which could include personal helpers for several hours every month, meals, transportation, help with the digital world, and much more. Your neighbors have put a lot into the system over the years and hopefully the system can pay them back.

Depending on their tactile coordination an external keyboard would be useful. |

I set my Mom up with a Chrome book. She was able to keep up with her emails and stuff very easily. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Great suggestions, thanks!
I just learned this couple has a son, so I will suggest to them that they ask him to set them up with a Chromebook.
Thanks again! _________________ Mike
