Any recommendations?
My interface isn't giving quite as much juice as I'd like. Hoping to find one with plenty of power that doesn't color the sound and has a nice form factor.
Doesn't seem to be a ton of options. All seem to be for stage/portable use, have some DAC I don't want or are super cheap or super expensive.
Is there a quality solution I'm missing that doesn't cost more than the headphones? Or should I just get some lower OHM cans?
Thanks in advance! |

I use the Presonus HP4. A lot of folks do. It's fine, nothing spectacular, but it is reasonably priced and easy to find. It has more outputs (4) than I need, but it's got a smallish form factor and has been working well for the past 4 years.
Note that I do NOT have your cans. I have the 770s at 80 ohms. My guess is that the Presonus would be fine for you, but I don't know. I can say that the 80ohm 770s are excellent and I see no reason for the higher-resistance model in VO. _________________ Jack Daniel

Thanks.
I was trying to find just one channel, which seems to be why I wasn't coming up with much, but I guess the extra splits won't hurt.
I'll probably try out the Sampson or Whirlwind HAUC 1-channel Under Counter Headphone Amplifier. less wires on the desk sounds A-OK.
If anyone has any other favorites, I'm all ears. |

I have the same cans. I use the Gustard H10 and it sounds absolutely gorgeous. Single channel, lots of gain on tap, and clean as the day is long. |

Courtesy update...
The Samson QH4 has all the juice needed to drive 250ohm cans and seems to be of reasonable quality.
If you're in need, it will do the job. |

Grace and LittleLabs both make incredible headphone amps, but perhaps too audiophile for this use case... Presonus HP4 is A-OK. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
