Hey kids, this morning I got an email from out of the blue with the subject "Pat Meyer/Monster Man." The email starts like this:

Wondering if you could help, I can roar. I mean really roar, not like these other guys who make sounds, I can really roar, like really loud and sounds awfully scary, been able to do it since I was a little boy in the UK, got kicked out of primary school at 10 for it, teacher thought I was possessed. But only now taking it seriously as my business has gone to Hell because of the pandemic, and I have a my goddaughter Kayla who works in Abbey Road Studio in the UK still who says I should do something with this as I am classically trained in the Arts in the UK, either, movies or TV or video games, but monster and dragons an demons have been my thing. |
It then goes into a list a medical troubles he's had over the last 5 years and a couple of other paragraphs about his time "saving lives" and wanting his kids to be proud of him.
Has anyone else gotten (sorry, Philip) a version of this?

| I haven't received anything directly. A google search found the message word for word posted in a Disney Animation Careers Facebook group, however. He may be legitimately looking for help but copypaste causes a pause. |

This sounds like a person who has lost their way, in more ways than one. People who are trained in the "classical arts" have been shown many examples of ways to contact and break into the professional side of those businesses. They need the hand of someone near them to calm them down and to help them think of useful paths to rewarding work.
