Honestly-- the best scripts you'll get are magazine ad copy.
Professional copywriters and all that.
Copyright issues make it troublesome to find scripts online. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Also - you can hire someone that writes copy for a living and hire them to do it. The only thing is you have to have a director or someone or yourself, discuss with them what your passions are or what your type is so that you can REALLY connect with it.
Best of luck - the evil demo is a massive (and sometimes overrated) undertaking.

EDIT: By the way - after listening to your demo (I think you might have changed it recently), you would be perfect for that sarcastic guy, or the cocky guy who takes himself too seriously - run with that or find some copy along those lines and maybe do 2 or 3 spots of that. For example, your Hyundai segment shows alot of potential for the guy "i love to hate" but can relate to. Does this makes sense to you? |

Another source of copy: record a bunch of television, ignore the shows, and listen to the spots. If there's something you'd like to do, transcribe the copy and use that. Consider changing the client name and a few words here and there so folks don't think you're just repeating stuff off the tube, and consider changing delivery style from the original with some of the spots. Take something mundane and make it jazzy, take something hyped up and see if you can read it smooth.
National radio spots can be a source too, or go on the web and record and listen to large market radio in another city. That way people in your city are less likely to be familiar with the original spot.

Wow thanks for the advice and the Link. $19 Bucks for all those scripts? I Couldn't ask for a better Deal. Thank you so much!

John,
Did you purchase this script package and if so, were the scripts you received any good? Did you use any of them on your demo? |

I did get the package and I think the scripts were pretty good. At least for Demo purposes. At $19 Bucks you really can't go wrong. It sure saves a lot of time in having to write your own scripts! |
