Howdy. Happy Holidays & hope everyone is fantastic.
I'll be working on a play in Bloomington for six weeks this coming March-April. I'll take my travel gear, but I have no idea what my living accommodations will be or what kind of sound issues may come with it. As a backup plan, could anyone in the area recommend a studio for VO? I've done local searches, but it would be helpful if friendlies could assist in narrowing down the options. OR would someone be willing and able to rent out your own Source Connect home studio to a traveling VO for the odd session, should my own space not cut it? If we haven't met, I'm normal(ish).
...and actually, I'd be curious to hear from anyone who's rented out their booths to travelers...
Thanks! |

If you know Kristin Lennox or Amanda Fellows, I believe they are both in Indy. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Hi Connie! Hope you're well! I appreciate studio the tip. Per Lee's recommendation, Kristin Lennox has been very helpful, too.
Because it's IU, of course it's a basketball related play.
"American Fast" synopsis: College basketball superstar Khady Salama dreams of leading her team to the NCAA Championship. But in her senior year, March Madness coincides with Ramadan and she’s promised her devout mother that she’ll fast. When her story goes public, Khady unexpectedly becomes a role model for young Muslim women everywhere, with just one small problem…she’s lying about fasting. As the tournament unfolds, Khady is forced to grapple with her faith, family, and what it means to win at all costs.

I play the disapproving mother--and get to use my Arabic accent skills.
Never been to Bloomington (or Indiana), but I hear good things!
Thanks for asking! |
