I'm neutral on these video demos because I haven't given them much thought until today. Definitely see the value in them, but I also see people throwing shade at them. Why do we think that is? Resistance to change?
Video demos seem to be a return to the classics (a linear demo), but with added value. In the friendliest way possible, "Prove me wrong."

I wanted one for people who ask "got anything I can look at?" For that reason alone it was worth the $200 (£170) to get it done. The response on LinkedIn has been very encouraging, the same for Youtube. The best result will be when it turns into paid work.
The days of multi-page, TMI web sites with inane branding are gone. For most people it's visit site, click play, move on.
My goal this year is to land one more regular client and interpret Star Wars through the medium of contemporary dance. Quite optimistic about the latter.

My original branding "The finest juicy chunks of fresh Cornish Ram's bladder, emptied, steamed, flavoured with sesame seeds, whipped into a fondue, and garnished with lark's vomit." Abandoned due to copyright issues. Someone named Marty Pylon sued. |
