My VO education continues.
When I was initially setting up my studio I bought a Mackie Onyx 1220 mixer with a firewire card. I've since decided that I'd like to sell it and switch to a pre/processor like a Focusrite VMP.
#1. Where would be a good place to sell the Mackie? E-bay? Paper? VO-BB?
#2. Any opinions on my processor choice? I'm using a Rode NTK and have an M-Audio soundcard.
Thanks! |

Tom,
I always have good luck selling my stuff on www.gearslutz.com. Great site that deals with recording equipment and a lot more. It's free sign to up, then you can place it in there classified section.
As far as a new pre, it depends on your budget. The Grace 101 is clean and runs around $500, if you can go around $1000 Avalon M5 (used) or John Hardy M1 are good choices. Just depends on your budget. Good clean pres run a little more but are definitely worth it. Just my .02 on that.

You can always offer to sell an item here, just ask people to contact you off board for info.
GearSlutz seems to be the article of comparison for gear resale. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |
