There are many opinions (guesses) as to what is happening to our chosen profession over the next several years, and this one from a major financial magazine is one of the gloomier ones I've seen:

If A.I. ever learns the Iranian Double Pause technique, we're definitely in trouble. But that takes terabytes of memory that we have and the f'ing machines don't have, yet.

I read a "Yaay, go me" post by someone who has joined the ranks of a reputable LA based VO agency, well done him! They have number of people on their books who are names and some I know. Lovely. Here's what made my heart sink, the agency represents 791 voices. Best wishes to him? Yes! Best wishes to us? Yes, yes a thousand times yes! |
