|
|
OK folks,
This might not be for everyone...but for those that are looking for a production music library without breaking the bank...
Digital Juice is offering their BackTraxx2 library (usually $399) for only $99 plus $7 shipping. That's 33 CDs... total 1100 tracks (full length, :60 and :30 broadcast cuts). They usually do this only once a year for a limited number of sales so if you're interested don't wait around!
If you visit their web site (digitaljuice.com) you can preview the library before you buy. You can order online but its much easier/faster to call customer service: 800-525-2203.

You know what really stinks? I don't even need the music, as I rarely do full productions anymore, but this was one of those deals too good to pass up. Another business expense for tax time. And with any luck, they will get some use, now that I'll have them "in house".
Thanks for posting. I started to order online, then took your suggestion and just called them. Nice folks. |

Mr. Davis,
I just looked at your site and I thought you ought to know that the quote you have on the top is overlapping your menu. I looked at it in both firefox and IE. Thought you might want to know. _________________ Joe Rodriguez, Bilingual Voice Actor | The Voiceover Thespian Blog |

I'm with Don! I'm tempted as heck. I wonder how represented this is in the marketplace, though. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Good question... I wondered about that myself!
But then I decided, for the money, I don't really care since 80% of everything I do is dry...so on the rare occasions when I need to fully produce a spot etc... its unlikely it will be overused. Just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to know I have a pretty good production selection at my finger tips... and I don't have a wad of money tied up while it gathers dust.

Deeb,
If you're doing prod on a regular basis the library is pretty solid...for a small stock music set. It's all royalty free....and fairly diverse. Long, underscore, 60 and 30 versions of pretty much all of the cuts.

a few years back DJ bought out some other libraries, and combined them into their own. I have a couple discs from one of thsoe they acquired, River City Music. good stuff, i only wind up using a small bit for my day job, a lot in the libraries isn't appropriate (or the suits don't think so anyway) for a conservative government agency.
I'm tempted myself for personal use. |

Thanks for the tip. I went ahead and snagged it while the price is right. By the way, it's on backorder. I talked with Scott and he said it would probably ship out after the end of the month. Tis okay though, not in a hurry for it. I have a library already, just wanted to get another one for even more variety. |

That was my thought as well. The last library I purchased was more along the lines of $99 PER DISC instead of $3 _________________ . If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you. |

Update...
Received BackTraxx2 yesterday. It's has its own binder...has an awesome index CD that makes previewing all the cuts a snap. Well worth the $99 even if I seldom use it.
But then...
Got a new client today and the first job out of the chute required...you guessed it... a production music bed. Found what I needed within a couple of minutes and the rest is $$$$ in the bank.
Delighted Dave |
