Hey folks,

I'm trying to get my studio humming and I'm getting clipping when I record and playback.
I'm running an NTK into a Mackie Onyx mixer. Any REALLY obvious points I might be missing?

I remember last summer someone making a point about connecting the NTK since it's got it's own power source but I can't find it in the archives.

Do you have the trim adjusted on the channel you're using?

Sometimes it's the simple things that solve the problem. Rolls Eyes

After pulling my hair out over the weekend I regrouped and started trying things.

A simple disabling of my wireless internet connection eliminated the noise. Angry

On to the next problem. I can only record in mono in Audition, even if I select stereo...

There is a simple explanation to that problem Tom (Mono only recording).

You need to set your inputs to allow for stereo. Check to see if your I/O's are stereo. If so, make sure your inputs are selected to work with stereo. (under: Devices). A mono plug or a mono input to your sound device can be the culprit, and may be very hard to find or just a simple mistake.

Glad you found a solution to your previous problem.

Toodles
