Hey folks,
I'm trying to get my studio humming and I'm getting clipping when I record and playback.
I'm running an NTK into a Mackie Onyx mixer. Any REALLY obvious points I might be missing?
I remember last summer someone making a point about connecting the NTK since it's got it's own power source but I can't find it in the archives. |

Do you have the trim adjusted on the channel you're using? _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Sometimes it's the simple things that solve the problem.
After pulling my hair out over the weekend I regrouped and started trying things.
A simple disabling of my wireless internet connection eliminated the noise.
On to the next problem. I can only record in mono in Audition, even if I select stereo... |

There is a simple explanation to that problem Tom (Mono only recording).
You need to set your inputs to allow for stereo. Check to see if your I/O's are stereo. If so, make sure your inputs are selected to work with stereo. (under: Devices). A mono plug or a mono input to your sound device can be the culprit, and may be very hard to find or just a simple mistake.
Glad you found a solution to your previous problem.
Toodles
