I believe it was our own beloved Dave Christi who turned me onto this amazing site: <www>, and for that I will forever be in his debt!
I have done all my billing through them since, and since it was so close to the beginning of the year, I entered in invoices dating back to the beginning of the month (that had already been sent by snail mail) and just didn't email them.
I'm not big time like a lot of you folks-- only one or two paying jobs per day on average. But things have been picking up! I really needed a way to delegate this stuff and have someone else keep track of it. They even send past due notices! And each invoice has a PayPal link for instant payment!
At a glance, I can see how my income is coming along, who owes me what, etc. All for just .50 an invoice. I am the happiest girl in the world! .gif" alt="W00T" border="0" />

Amy, glad you like it (I'll send my commission request to Invoice.com )

I believe the answer is yes. For those working on a monthly retainer or other type of recurring payment, Invoice.com should automatically generate an invoice each month quarter, year... whatever. _________________ Dave "Christi" Felton

Amy,
I'm very glad to know this is working well for you. I checked out their site and thought about it; but since I have everything in Quickbooks, decided to just carry on with what I'm doing for now. _________________ Be well,

Thanks! But Dave is the real trend-setter. I'm just an ingredient. He is a whole recipe!

The Greeks had a saying that “Eating cress makes one witty.”
I picked up a lovely bunch of watercress yesterday and mixed it with my spinach last night, so I'm Super and Witty now!!! Look out. _________________ Playing for a living...

Well I can only say that I wish my historic, first submission to the highly exalted "vo-bb" was something flashier (say, maybe water cress-related) than an invoicing suggestion, but I couldn't resist this one.
I've been using a service called blinksale (blinksale.com) for about a year now, and I couldn't be happier. While I love the general challenge of voicework, and the specific challenge of marketing my services, I've always dreaded the business/paperwork of it all. No longer. Blinksale's been a blessing. (And no, I'm not related in any way to the company, I'm just a big fan.)
One especially cool feature is that once I email an invoice to my client, they can access a page at blinksale where they can see any and all outstanding invoices they might have with me. MUCH easier than trying to find an organize them on my own when a client calls with a question. Plus, it takes just seconds to open, write and send a new invoice, and they look great, too.
Okay. More than enough, I'm sure. I'm gonna jump over into the fun stuff now. |
