I really like Justsaymary.com and letmarysayit.com. Out of the oridinary and has a great personality about it. I would also register your name with the vo added to the end and redirect those people to that site. Your names have me re-thinking my strategy!

Dave, I really like letmarysayit.com, I should have added it to the poll but I didn't think about it. I checked the name on godaddy.com and its available too.

Your most welcome Mary. Glad it might help some.

By the way, I learned a valuable lesson on domain names. ANYTIME you think you MIGHT like something NEVER wait to register it later "when you're sure" its the one.

For $5 or $6 (I use 1and1.com and godaddy as well) you can capture it for a whole year until you make up your mind. Avoiding the heartbreak of it getting taken is well worth it. And later just let those that don't make the cut expire. (watch out for automatic renewal though)

TTCW (another "texans two-cents worth")

Hey Mary!
Glad that I was in inspiration to SOMEBODY! Wink

Still working on my branding, but am pretty much settled on "SayLiz.com"

At first glance, I like the "Just Say Mary"...I was thinking of "JustSayLiz" myself a bit ago, but I couldn't get the infamous "Just Say No!" campaign out of my head!....It may just be me, but I don't want any negative connotation...even if it's only in MY head!

I DO like "LetMarySayIt" and "MaryMorganVO"

I agree with Dave, in that if you think of something & like it, register it right away!

Have Fun!

Liz

Hi Liz,

Hmm... I'd forgotten all about the "Just Say No" line. I see what you mean, and yet most of the folks here seem to like Just Say Mary. My web designer is still doing other projects, but he and I will get around to creating the site in the next few weeks. We'll see what domain names are available then.
Thanks for your thoughts!

And thanks to everyone else too!

Mary

What about "Whenever-You-Want-A-Really-Super-Female-Type-Voice-Call-Mary-Cuz-She-Is-Cool.com"

Honestly, it could be something simple. I just did a search on MesaDomain.com and MARYVOICE.COM is available.

While you're thinking about it, don't limit yourself to just one domain. I have several (Because people don't know how to spell Christi the right way) that all "point" to the same website.

I went for justsaymary.com as well.

Sadly, my name doesn't have that kind of ring with things like that, lol.

I want to thank everyone for participating in the poll. My designer and I chose justsaymary.com with 1and1.com
And I just hired a graphic artist to help create a little background. It'll be html and very simple.

Thanks again!!

Tell us again what happened to LetMarySayIt? Why it didn't meet the marketing criteria?
Congratulations on this exciting decision on the growth of your business. Best of luck. We can't wait to see your new website.

Hmm... about letmarysayit, my designer said he found a deal with 1and1.com that was about to expire and suggested we take the offer right away. At the time I gave him the choices marymorganvo and justsaymary since those are the domain names people voted for. He picked justsaymary.

Was this not a good idea?

What should I do?

Mary,

Do what you're doing. It's a trivial amount of money to register another domain. See if LetMarySayIt.com is still available. If it is, grab it and then have your web guy set that up as an auto-forward to where your main site is. Or move and use the new URL if you like it better, and forward your old URL to the new site. There are lots of possibilities, and none of them cost a great deal of money.

Bob's right. If it is available and may be used at anytime in the future--grab it if feasable.

Marketing wise... Think like your customer, not like us vain VO artists.
If a potential client is looking at a list of VO website urls, what would "just say Mary" mean to him? What would "Let Mary say it" mean?
I have mentioned before that your business and/or website name should say what you do if possible. Make it easy for your clients to decide. What is it they are looking for? What is it you provide?
If I am looking for a high quality, professional female voice for my project, which name would answer my needs? I believe in the call-to-action phrase that literally tells the prospect to "Let Mary say it!"

My personal feeling is that Just say Mary borders on escort service ad.
(We tell you these things because we love you and are pulling for you. Whatever you decide will be fantastic and we are behind you all the way.)
